With a modern campus in the heart of the vibrant and welcoming city of Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has three academic schools offer a wide range of high quality programmes, professional training courses, research opportunities and consultancy services. The 2008 RAE rated GCU as No.1 in the UK for research in rehabilitation sciences and in the UK top 10 for allied health professions research and UK top 20 for research on the built environment.
The three academic schools in this university include School of Engineering and Built Environment, Glasgow School for Business and Society and School of Health and Life Sciences. GCU has international partners in China, Oman and other countries. It has a goal to facilitate academic and research links and international staff and student exchanges.
GCU does not only provide undergraduate and postgraduate program, it also provide a wide variety of part-time study courses for those who are willing to have a lifelong learning. A complete evening undergraduate programme, modules on a day-release basis, or a postgraduate programme within the SCQF framework are available for people to choose. GCU has run more than 50 part-time courses catering to over 3,000 students.

The School of Engineering and Built Environment is one of the leading schools for programmes in building and surveying in the UK. The school carries out extensive research in partnership with industry, commerce and other academic institutions in the UK and overseas.
The Glasgow School for Business and Society integrates the areas of business, law and social sciences to ensure that they are well placed to meet the needs of business and society. The School has an international outlook and is committed to developing partnerships across the world.
The School of Health and Life Sciences is committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and knowledge transfer across the disciplines of health, nursing and social care, biological and biomedical sciences, psychology and vision sciences. GCU has an excellent learning environment with well-equipped facilities including Saltire Centre and award-winning library that provides spaces for social learning as well as quiet study.
