Established in the year 1975, Bath Spa University is a public educational institution that is also located in Bath, Somerset. It offers an extensive list of pre-degree study, undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees and ranging at different areas of study. The University has 9 schools that cater to different areas such as in art, design, development, and participation, education, English and creative studies, historical and cultural studies, music and performing arts, science and environment, social sciences, and graduate school.

Bath Spa University has succeeded in achieving degree awarding powers in 1992, a university title in 2005 when it was known as Bath Spa University College, and research degree awarding powers in 2008. The University has 3 main campuses with 2 in different areas of Bath which are Newton Park campus and Sion Hill campus, and Corsham Court campus in Wiltshire.

Bath Spa University has 3 main campuses in Bath, Newton Park with all subjects excluding art and design, and Sion Hill with Bath School of Art and Design, situated just in the outskirts of the city of Bath, and excellent bus links to the city. Students can reach London in 90 minutes and 9 miles from Bristol. Corsham Court campus that is located in Wiltshire manages postgraduate programmes and research projects. Some of the on-campus facilities include a library, specialist facilities for music and textiles, an art gallery, common rooms, study areas, meeting and seminar rooms available for student use.
