About 

University of Bedfordshire established after the merging of The University of Luton and De Montfort University's Bedford campus on August 1, 2006. It is based in Bedford and Luton, the two largest towns in Bedfordshire, England.

The University of Bedfordshire has five campuses: Luton, Bedford, Buckinghamshire (Aylesbury), Putteridge Bury and Butterfield Park (the latter two are just outside Luton).

The university has four faculties: Creative Arts, Technologies and Science; Education and Sport; Health and Social Sciences; and a Business School. Option to study on a full-time or part-time basis, with long-distance learning available for the students.

The University of Bedfordshire was presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2011 and won a Leadership and Management award from the Times Higher in the same year. In June 2011 the University achieved the ‘Gold’ award from Investors in People – the highest accolade awarded by IiP.

Campus Information 

There's four-storey Library on the Bedford campus features 385 study spaces, 120,000 loan items and 120 internet-enabled PCs, and the Learning Hub provides students with an information-rich and socially interactive environment.

Physical Education and Sport Science Centre can be found at Bedford, contains state-of-the art sport science labs, two gyms and two dance studios. The Alexander Sports Centre has extensive playing fields, an indoor multi-purpose sports hall with badminton courts, tennis courts and a climbing wall. The Vauxhall Recreation Club includes a fitness studio, tennis and squash courts, and five-a-side football pitches.

The university also providing accommodation at both Luton and Bedford campus. There are 1800 bedrooms available for students across the Luton campus and there are two halls for students to choose for accommodation at Bedford campus.

The university's Luton campus is located only 30 minutes north of London by train. It is in the heart of the town centre. The Bedford campus is only 40 minutes by train from London and has easy access to Cambridge and Oxford. The Aylesbury (Buckinghamshire) campus lies 33 miles north-west of London and can be reached via road links.
